Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the websites and applications operated by Dewey Labs ("we", "us", or "our"), including the Glimpse iOS app and the Glimpse website. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use our services. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use our services with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

Accounts

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions and Payments

Glimpse offers a free tier and a paid subscription, Glimpse Pro, with additional features and higher content limits. Glimpse Pro is available as a monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription.

• iOS subscriptions: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan. You can manage or turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. For more details, see Apple's support documentation on managing subscriptions.
• Web subscriptions: Subscriptions purchased on the website are processed by Stripe. You can manage your subscription through the billing portal accessible from your account. Refunds for web subscriptions are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for assistance.

Subscription prices are displayed at the point of purchase and may vary by region. Prices may change, but we will notify you in advance of any price increase.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use our services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services.
• Reproduce, duplicate, or resell any part of our services without express written permission.

Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and materials available through our services are the property of Dewey Labs or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content from our services without prior written consent, except as permitted by these Terms.

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using our services, including flashcard decks, quizzes, and quiz cards. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you.

If you share content via a share link, you acknowledge that the shared content will be accessible to anyone with the link.

AI-Powered Features and Generated Content

Several features use Anthropic's Claude API to generate and assist with study content. By using these features, you consent to the transmission of your content to Anthropic's servers for processing. These features include:

• Document-based generation (Pro): Concept extraction, flashcard generation, quiz generation, and milestone scheduling from uploaded documents (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, text files). Extracted text from your documents is sent to Anthropic for processing.
• Text prompt generation (Pro): Flashcard, quiz, and cloze card generation from text prompts you enter directly.
• Study chat (Pro): An in-session chat assistant that receives your messages and relevant study context to answer questions about your materials.
• Wrong answer generation: Plausible incorrect answer options generated from your question and correct answer text. This feature is available to all authenticated users.

For all AI-powered features:

• We send only your study content (document text, prompts, chat messages, and study context) to Anthropic. We do not send personal information such as your name or email.
• Anthropic may retain API inputs for up to 30 days for trust and safety purposes, after which they are deleted. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models.
• Generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You should review all generated content before relying on it.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated content.
• Generation and chat are subject to usage limits as described in your subscription plan.
• For study objectives, extracted text is stored on our servers to support ongoing study sessions and concept review. You can delete your documents at any time, which removes the stored text. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Disclaimers

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dewey Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of our services.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the services ceases immediately. Active subscriptions will not be refunded upon termination for cause.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts located in King County, Washington.

Third-Party Beneficiaries

You acknowledge and agree that Apple, Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they relate to your use of the Glimpse iOS app, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
